Exeter, ON – The 300 craftsmen and apprentices employed by Exeter-based JMR Electric Ltd. have voted by more than 80% to accept the terms of the extension of their collective agreement. The three-year agreement negotiated by its elected negotiating group was approved by a two-thirds majority. JMR employees have been represented by Local 53 Construction Workers since April 2007. This is the third collective agreement between CLAC Local 53 and JMR Electric. Staff voted at regional meetings in Windsor, Chatham, London, Exeter and Cornwall during the week of January 27-30.
